The Cotton Association of India (CAI) has retained its cotton manufacturing estimate at 315 lakh bales in its modern day forecast for the 2018-19 season.

In the remaining cotton season, overall output stood at 365 lakh bales, the affiliation stated Monday. The cotton season runs from October to September.

CAI in its forecast for May stated the full cotton supply from October 2018 to May 2019 was 325 lakh bales of a hundred and seventy kg each.

The overall deliver consists of arrivals of 287.72 lakh bales up to May 31, 2019, imports of nine.28 lakh bales and the opening stocks of 28 lakh bales at the beginning of the season.

Further, the CAI mentioned that cotton consumption at some stage in October 2018 to May 2019 stood at 209 lakh bales.

The export shipments until May 31 is estimated at forty four lakh bales.

Stocks on the give up of May 2019 are envisioned at 72 lakh bales, along with 32.Sixty eight lakh bales with textile generators and remaining 39.32 lakh bales with the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI), MNCs and others (MNCs, buyers, ginners).
