The Centre has reduced the providence tax on crude oil to ₹nine,500 a tonne from ₹eleven,000 in advance. This exchange is powerful from November 2, in keeping with a central authority notification.
Simultaneously, the Centre has raised the special extra excise responsibility on the export of aviation turbine gas from ₹3.5 a litre to ₹5 a litre. Also, the authorities notification confirmed that the special extra excise obligation at the export of diesel has multiplied from ₹12 a litre to ₹thirteen a litre.
It maybe recalled that providence tax, levied as unique additional excise responsibility, is geared toward absorbing the incredible income earned via home crude oil manufacturers. This providence tax is revised on a fortnightly basis.
