India’s palm oil import fell 4.88% to 7.915 million tons in the recently concluded oil year ending October 2022 with shipment from the 2 largest sellers Indonesia and Malaysia down but Thailand posted a sharp increase. Palm imports fell displaced by a surge in soft oils led by soybean oil rising by an impressive 45.53% to a 6-year high of 4.171 million tons and sunflower oil up by 2.64% to 1.944 million tons—according to the latest Solvent Extractors Association of India October report.
