Production of raw Cashewnuts in India during 2017-18 recorded in any respect time high at 8.17 lakh tonnes, regestering a increase of 4% as compared to preceding manufacturing of seven.79 lakh tonnes and 21% increase as compared to 2015-16 manufacturing of 6.7 lakh tonnes.
Due to scarcity of sufficient quantity of raw cashewnut and better rate for uncooked cashew within the global marketplace, the Cashew enterprise is facing the chance of a call for – supply hole, as the whole requirement of uncooked cashewnut is expected at 17 lakh tonnes, the ministry for trade and enterprise said.
