Nearly 50 bags of latest turmeric arrived for sale on the markets n Erode and all of them had been bought at a better fee.

“The consumers purchased all of the 50 baggage for ₹6,000-7,000 a quintal. We are looking forward to greater such new crop arrivals. On Thursday, 5,four hundred luggage of turmeric arrived for sale and 70 in line with cent of them had been offered,” said RKV Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Merchants Association.

The rate of turmeric improved in all the markets. Finger turmeric received ₹300-350 a quintal at the Regulated Marketing Committee and Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, even as root variety elevated through ₹2 hundred in all of the markets.

At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association, the finger turmeric turned into sold at ₹five,903-7,439 a quintal, root variety changed into bought at ₹five,455-7,0.5. Three,310 bags arrived on the market, of which 1,685 were offered.

At the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, the finger turmeric went for ₹five,859-7,509 and the root variety for ₹5,750-7,255. Of the 1,856 bags provided, 1,720 had been offered.
