Steel cos hike costs through up to ₹four,900/tonn

Leading domestic steelmakers have hiked the expenses of Hot Rolled Coil (HRC) and Cold Rolled Coil (CRC) through as much as ₹four,000 and ₹four,900 according to tonne, respectively, industry resources said on Thursday.

After the fee revision, a tonne of HRC will price ₹70,000-seventy one,000 even as the consumers gets CRC at ₹eighty three,000-84,000 in keeping with tonne.

HRC and CRC are flat metal used in industries together with automobile, appliances and construction. Hence, any upward thrust in metallic costs influences the fees of motors, purchaser goods, production charges as steel is a raw cloth for those sectors.
