The rate of turmeric had been solid on Thursday. “The arrival of turmeric is still low, however the price is strong. The investors after inspecting the samples, shopping for restricted stock for their requirement by myself, without quoting extended price. Only 1,981 bags of medium pleasant turmeric arrived and eighty per cent it become sold. The investors, for their demand obtained from masala corporations, purchased the turmeric. Due to no growth in charge, the farmers added low amount of turmeric for sale. The traders, for want of upcountry demand, sold restrained inventory,” said R.K.V.Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Merchants Association.
