HBL Power Systems entered right into a settlement on June 26, 2023, with Ashoka Buildcon Ltd (ABL) for supply of the Kavach part of an EPC agreement won via ABL in September 2022.
The ABL contract with East Central Railway, is for Rs. 220 crores (inclusive of GST at 18%) for deploying Kavach and OFC community over 417 km and 60 locomotives, between Pradhankhunta in Jharkhand and Deen Dayal Upadhyay station in Uttar Pradesh.
The ABL settlement with HBL is for Rs. 135 crores (including GST of 18 %). This consists of the deliver and commissioning of all system worried in the Kavach device requiring RDSO approval.
The shipping and commissioning is to be finished in 18 months.
HBL is one among three OEMs accredited by using RDSO. The proportion of an RDSO permitted “OEM” vendor’s fee in EPC contracts for Kavach varies broadly.
