Hindalco Industries, Aditya Birla Group’s metals flagship has signed an MoU with Phinergy, a main Israel-primarily based pioneer in steel-air battery technology, and IOC Phinergy Private Limited (IOP) – a joint undertaking between Phinergy and India’s main energy PSU Indian Oil Corporation. As per the MOU, Phinergy and IOP will partner completely with Hindalco in India, on R&D and pilot manufacturing of aluminium plates for Aluminium-Air batteries, and recycling of aluminium, after usage in those batteries.
