Hindalco Industries could be stepping into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Odisha Mining Corporation for the long-time period supply of Bauxite ore for
its proposed 2-million tonne alumina refinery and 150-MW captive energy plant at Kansariguda in the Rayagada District (‘the mission’). This may be the Company’s 2d alumina refining facility inside the Rayagada district of Odisha.
The overall proposed funding of Rs. Eight,000 crore shall be in phases. The first phase of one million tonne is anticipated to be commissioned in FY27, at an investment of Rs. 5,500 crore.
