Hitachi ABB Power Grids in India (listed on exchanges as ‘ABB Power Products and Systems India Ltd.’) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ashok Leyland and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) for an e-mobility pilot.
The triumvirate will run an electric powered bus (e-bus) pilot to support sustainable in-campus commuting by way of IITM’s college students and personnel. The e-bus, a good way to comprise Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ modern flash-charging technology – Grid-eMotionTM Flash, may be provided by way of India’s biggest bus manufacturer, Ashok Leyland. IITM will host the infrastructure required to perform the flash-charging device for the e-bus.
