Media reviews imply that the lenders of pressured housing finance firm DHFL have all started digital voting to select a new owner for the company. A new name is likely to be finalised by January 14, reports say. Creditors are vote casting on six resolution plans, such as the ones submitted by using Oaktree Capital Management, Piramal Group and Adani Group, all of whom have ventured to take over the whole loan e-book of DHFL.
Piramal Group and Oaktree Capital’s bids could be closely eyed as each were raising bids in view that December 14 and are actually imparting Rs 37,000-38,000 crore to shop for DHFL’s loans, that’s sixty five-70% decrease than the Rs. 87,000 crore that DHFL owes.
